Requirements:

This position requires an Associate Degree in Business Administration, or related field; or three years of related work experience in a financial institution with progressively responsible duties.

Must demonstrate a positive attitude, a professional image, and have the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Must be able to build relationships in the community and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages overall branch operations. Responsible to ensure that the branch runs smoothly and member service expectations are met.
  • Conduct group and individual training for sales and service, branch operations, and compliance with regulations, policy, and procedures to ensure the growth and development of the branches.
  • Work with underperforming branch employees to ensure performance standards are met.
  • Participate in the local community activities to enhance community, staff, and member relations.
  • Responsible for interviewing and giving recommendations and suggestions during the hiring process for the branch.
  • Manage all employees assigned to the branch operation and performs management functions, i.e. monitors department work schedule and coverage, time sheets and other related issues.
  • Responsible for writing and delivering the department’s employee evaluations, the rewarding of exemplary performance and the recommendation of salary increases to Senior Leadership Team for those employees supervised.
  • Responsible for recommending and implementing disciplinary actions up to and including terminations once approved by Administration.
  • Oversees operational efficiencies and branch expenses while optimizing staff productivity.
  • Responsible for maintaining good, positive communication between the members and branch employees, as well as relations between branch employees themselves.
  • Successfully problem solves member complaints and concerns by providing solutions that ensure positive outcomes.
  • Identifying, developing and retaining employees by fostering teamwork and leading by example.
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings as necessary to communicate operational procedures and to ensure quality member service standards are met.
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings unless prior approval is granted.
  • Responsible for compliance with all applicable Credit Union policies at the branch level, manage security, and reporting any exceptions to the appropriate supervisor.
  • May act as FSR/Loan Officer or Teller as necessary to ensure proper delivery of member services.
  • Provides Notary Public service to members as needed.
  • May be required to register on the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and Registry.
  • Registered NMLS Lender, includes but is not limited to the following:
    • Originate secondary market quality real estate loans.
    • Confidentially interview loan applicants, providing exceptional service during the loan process, while building lasting financial relationships.
    • Determine loan program that best suits the borrower’s need.
    • Input application into Byte.
    • Provide Loan Estimate and other required TRID disclosures at time of application, when appropriate.
    • Obtain supporting documentation.
    • Provide frontline communication with borrower and realtor. Keep them informed of the loan process and counsel when needed.
    • Recommend/cross sell additional service opportunities.
    • Develop business with Realtors, builders and other sources.
  • Represents the Credit Union with honesty, integrity and trust at all times.
  • Adheres to established internal policies and procedures for compliance. Completes required compliance training in a timely manner and complies with all regulations within scope of the position.
  • Adheres to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act and anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Accurately completes Currency Transaction Reports, follows internal procedures to report suspicious activity to the BSA Department, and collects required information to comply with the Customer Identification/Due Diligence Program and to meet other record keeping requirements defined by the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Base Expectations:

  • Be willing to perform any duty (beyond Essential Functions above) as assigned.
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle various situations and issues as they relate to members, staff, management, volunteers, vendors, and others encountered in
  • daily operations of the Credit Union while keeping the Senior Vice President/Branch Administration apprised as they occur.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of products, services, and the functions of all operations within the Credit Union, with emphasis in your particular area of responsibility.
  • Keep abreast of and implement as directed by Senior Leadership any changes dictated by regulations, rules, and laws to ensure compliance within your area of responsibility.
  • Develop and recommend to Senior Leadership innovations and strategies that will enhance the operation within your area of responsibility. Be a creative thinker.
  • Ensure good working relationships with Realtors and Title Companies, etc.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently, is self-motivated and a self-starter.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Potential exposure to the threat of violence at any time.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time may be required.
  • Repetitive motions and extensive keyboarding may be required.
