Spring & Summer 2027 Accounting Internship Opportunities (Upstate New York)

Spring 2027 Internships (January - April)

Locations: Albany, Buffalo, East Aurora (Spring Only), Rochester, and Syracuse

Work Arrangement: In-person at one of our Upstate New York offices

Tax Internship (Spring 2027)

Gain practical experience in tax planning, preparation, and client service while working with a variety of individual and business clients.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare individual, small business, and corporate tax returns
  • Assist with tax research and planning projects
  • Analyze financial information and supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with experienced tax professionals on client engagements
  • Learn how public accounting professionals deliver exceptional client service

Expected Schedule: Approximately 20-25 hours per week

Small Business Advisory (SBA) Internship (Spring 2027)

Experience the day-to-day accounting and advisory services that help small businesses succeed.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with bookkeeping and accounting functions

  • Prepare and review client financial information
  • Learn small business tax preparation processes

Expected Schedule: Approximately 20-25 hours per week

Assurance Internship (Available Spring and/or Summer 2027)

What You'll Do

  • The Efficiency Center, working on specialized projects that showcase the industries we serve
  • Form 990 preparation and review support
  • Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) engagements
  • Technical Accounting Standards Update (ASU) projects
  • Innovation initiatives focused on improving processes and client service
  • Year-end audit engagements alongside experienced Assurance professionals

Throughout the internship, you will gain exposure to the audit process, develop technical accounting knowledge, and build skills that prepare you for a successful career in public accounting.

Expected Schedule: Approximately 20-25 hours per week in the Spring, ap

proximately 36 hours per week in the Summer.

Salary: The rate of pay for this role is $22/hour.

Hours of Operation:

  • Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • Our summer hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
