Job Summary
Manages the performance of all aspects of Front End Operations, including cash management, bookkeeping, front-end service, and payroll. Coordinates community and store event programs throughout the store.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

โ€ข Associate Degree (A.A.) from two-year College or university; Five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills a must. Background in store operations and work scheduling required.
โ€ข Ability to read and interpret general business reports, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
โ€ข Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
โ€ข Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
โ€ข Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
โ€ข Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
โ€ข Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
โ€ข While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The associate if frequently required to walk, stand for a minimum of 4 hours and sit. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
โ€ข Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Essential Job Functions:
Performance of the essential functions of this position require the Team Member to possess the minimum qualifications listed below. These functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
โ€ข Maintains security of all store systems, including IBM, Wakefern Applications, and DSD.
โ€ข Ensure proper maintenance of job-related equipment and proper usage.
โ€ข Reviews and performs the necessary corrective action for the following areas: Transaction journals, check override reports, negative entries, cash control, refunds, promotions, customer service and Front End Culture standards.
โ€ข Maintains all Shrink Initiatives.
โ€ข Ensure that all shrink controls procedures (such as Smart Store) are followed.
โ€ข Achieve or surpass department productivity and payroll goals.
โ€ข Submission of reports to store and corporate management for key indicators.
โ€ข Ensures all company policies such as check cashing, refunds, exchanges, and gift certificates are administered as per company policy.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with Wakefern Food Corporation, state and company QA and sanitation standards.
โ€ข Maintain cash handling procedures.
โ€ข Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and development of all department personnel.
โ€ข Manage others and adhere to company Human Resources and Personnel policies and procedures as well as state and federal labor laws.
โ€ข Insures all training programs for front-end personnel, bookkeeping, and payroll are administered and documented.
โ€ข Troubleshoot system/hardware issues as they pertain to operations.
โ€ข Communicate to store management and support staff on any issues affecting front-end operations.
โ€ข Counsel team members who do not meet performance standards.
โ€ข Ensure customer satisfaction by providing superior service level.
โ€ข Educate customers with proper signage concerning events and programs.
โ€ข Analyze financial and operational processes for cost savings.
โ€ข Meet financial goals as outlined in annual budget.
โ€ข Handle customer complaints as per company standards.
โ€ข Has a Company recognized Food Safety Certification and/ or can successfully complete training to receive and maintain a Company recognized Food Safety Certification.
