ELKHART COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL POSITION VACANCY NOTICE


BOOKING SPECIALIST

DEPARTMENT:                            Sheriff's Office       

HIRING RANGE:                          $22.12-$24.58/hour based on education and position related experience.  Longevity pay after 3 years.

POSITION TO BE FILLED:          ASAP

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK:       Monday- Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm (40 hour work week)

LOCATION OF POSITION:          Elkhart

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:         Within County (please complete driving page on application)

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for control room operation and security overwatch in the area of the Elkhart County Correctional Facility.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    High school diploma or GED, 2 years of previous work-related experience preferred
    Ability to work alone or with others in a team environment
    Ability to compile, collate, analyze, evaluate, and coordinate data and take action based on data analysis, file, post, and mail materials


    Ability to properly operate standard office/law enforcement equipment and computer software programs, such as computer, case management software, calculator, radio, tear gas/mace, pepper spray, and vehicle
    Pre-employment background check (criminal and credit), polygraph and drug screen
