Job Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Shows commitment by managing the day-to-day floor operations of the department; monitor accuracy in sorting, posting, and shipping of books, antiques, collectibles, and jewelry, to meet production goals.
  • Oversees configuration, performance optimization, and operational excellence across eight eCommerce marketplaces, proactively adapting to platform updates to sustain top seller ratings and maximize marketplace success.
  • Manages processing, pricing and flow of products to support store revenue from jewelry, collectibles and books & media.
  • Builds relationships by serving as a representative of the Idaho Youth Ranch to co-workers and community
  • Brings joy to our customers by providing WOW service and diligently monitoring online customer feedback rankings. Responds to customer questions and complaints within established guidelines
  • Works compassionately while assisting in the hiring and training new employees, covers all positions of the department if staff is out
  • Partner with retail and distribution teams to build effective processes for identifying and collecting potential antiques and collectibles.
  • Leads the research and evaluation of antique and collectible items, jewelry, precious metals, books, and media to determine the most effective sales channels, pricing strategies, and marketplace placement, while identifying and developing new revenue opportunities.
  • Researches incoming antique and collectible items to determine the best method and location of sale for each item and continually seeks new markets for potential sales
  • Optimizes shipping rate structures and fulfillment costs by continually evaluating carrier pricing and updating automated book-scanning algorithms to maintain target profit margins.
  • Works with software vendors to ensure department efficiency
  • Achieves transparency by helping to ensure compliance with all shipping laws; assists in maintaining accuracy of inventory
  • Supports growth by ensuring software application workability and capability and provides training to other staff members
  • Leads annual budgeting and forecasting for eCommerce operations, tracking key financial metrics and ensuring monthly revenue, expense, and profitability objectives are met.
  • Completes the daily report, sales analysis, and payroll report
Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in or have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 4-6 years of management experience in a retail, distribution center or eCommerce environment


Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word & Excel and use of the Internet, specifically eBay and other online marketplaces
  • Experience and knowledge of antiques, collectibles, valuables, jewelry, and books
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills – grammar, spelling, and descriptive skills.
  • Experience in online retail sales and writing online auctions
  • Photography skills
  • Must have good attention to detail, be able to work quickly without sacrificing quality, and self- motivated to meet deadlines
  • Certified as a fork lift and man lift operator


Physical Requirements, Mental, Equipment & Working Condition Elements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds
  • Potential hazards exist regarding machinery such as forklifts, pallets jacks, conveyors, and other mechanized systems.
  • Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable ranges.
  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
  • Working conditions are normal for a warehouse environment temperatures 0 – 100 F
  • The position involves repetitive motions over the duration of an entire shift, including standing and walking and repeated bending, stretching, twisting and lifting
  • Safety equipment, gloves, closed toed shoes are required
