Job description

Job Title: Staff Accountant

Reports to: Controller

Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the finance department by managing day-to-day accounting activities. This role includes processing accounts payable, monitoring accounts receivable, and assisting with Bill of Materials (BOM) analysis to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and expense reports.

  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.

  • Reconcile AP accounts and resolve discrepancies.

  • Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of payments.

  • Prepare and send invoices to clients.

  • Maintain accurate AR aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.

  • Bill of Materials (BOM) Assistance:

  • Collaborate with operations and inventory teams to maintain accurate BOM records.

  • Assist in cost analysis and variance reporting related to BOM.

  • Support month-end and year-end inventory reconciliations.

  • General Accounting:

  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close.

  • Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company policies.

  • Support audits and provide necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 1โ€“3 years of accounting experience (AP/AR focus preferred).
