Job Description:
Our client in Wilmington, DE is seeking a dedicated BOM Specialist to contribute to their fast-paced and innovative environment.
*Develop and maintain accurate bills of materials (BOM) for all products and assemblies.
*Coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure BOM accuracy and completeness
*Update BOMs based on engineering changes, product revisions, and feedback from production.
*Analyze BOMs to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve production efficiency.
*Create and manage work orders for manufacturing and assembly processes.
*Ensure work orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
*Collaborate with inventory management to ensure materials availability aligns with production schedules.
*Maintain documentation related to BOMs and work orders in the company"s ERP system.
*Conduct regular audits of BOMs and work orders to ensure compliance with company standards.
*Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to BOM discrepancies and work order execution.
*Provide training and support to team members on BOM and work order processes.
*Generate reports on BOM accuracy, work order completion, and material usage for management review.
*Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance BOM and work order processes.
Requirements:
*- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
*- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing or engineering environments.
*CAD software knowledge/experience - ability to read/interpret engineered CAD drawings of product to be able to convert to Mfg BOM for on floor production
*- Proficiency in ERP systems, such as SAP, SAGE, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
*- Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and lifecycle management.
*- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
*- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
*- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
*- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
*- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
*- Experience with change management processes.
*- Familiarity with inventory management and production planning.
*- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
