Job description

Experienced Project Management Specialist

Company:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a highly motivated Experienced Project Management Specialist (Level 4) to join the BDS Production Systems Training - Delivery Team, based in Berkeley, MO.

This position offers the opportunity to tackle complex challenges, lead cross-functional projects, and influence operational excellence. Success in this role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry

  • Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives

  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case

  • Develops and establishes lead time requirements

  • Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry

  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives

  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion

  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years' experience in a role requiring project/program management skills

  • 5+ years' experience working with cross functional teams

  • 3+ years' experience developing and refining executive level presentations

  • 3+ years' experience working within aerospace manufacturing or defense program environments.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Experience leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills to monitor data science and AI model performance and inform improvements

  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)

  • Experience with Tableau Dashboard development

  • SQL script writing experience

  • Experience working with internal customers and stakeholders

  • Experience in managing competing priorities

  • Experience in financial acumen

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in risk management.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with project management tools and software

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.
