Job description

Senior Industrial Security Specialist

The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Industrial Security Specialist to join the team in Arlington, VA
The candidate will support ECS governance and risk management initiatives aimed at strengthening the security of classified programs. They will be responsible for establishing an enterprise risk management framework to evaluate the effectiveness of security programs across ECS, as well as broader Boeing risk management efforts designed to reduce security risk. In addition, the candidate will facilitate governance for risk management initiatives and develop policies, procedures, and awareness materials to help mitigate risk.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops, implements and administers an enterprise risk management program, security education, policy and procedures to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on large and/or highly complex programs
  • Executes Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Identifies deficiencies, develops and implements corrective action
  • Conducts administrative inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures
  • Contributes to enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) (e.g., participates in the review cycle and decision-making process for enterprise export compliance, procedures (PROs), Business Process Instructions (BPI's) and Desktop Instructions (DI's)
  • Provides innovation and creativity into Personnel Security (e.g., reduce cycle time) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for complex customer requirements
  • Provides innovation and creativity into security awareness training and education program (briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
  • Oversees Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements
  • Completes tasks toward long-range goals and objectives
  • Oversees Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
  • 10+ years of experience in Industrial Security
  • 10+ years of experience in personnel security administration, physical security, communications security and/or other programmatic security-related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in government security programs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Program (SAP) access

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, and outlook)
  • Experience with oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to obtain a successful US government polygraph examination
