Job Summary
Control Solutions Group, Inc is searching for a BMS Controls Sales Estimator experienced in Building Management Systems (BMS) to join our New York City based team! This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a growing company who has the unique ability to deliver actionable insights through data-driven analytics and best in class Building Automation technology.
Building Management Systems Controls Estimator
  • As a pre-requisite to estimating work with Engineering team to learn HVAC and BMS Controls fundamentals, understand BMS and the application of Controls to HVAC equipment utilizing CSG engineering standards.
  • Work with Sales Executives to review MEP's (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) drawings to determine the BMS Controls scope of work.
  • Work with Sales Executives to prepare detailed costs estimate utilizing CSG Estimating tools including costs for equipment counts, electrical installation, wiring, equipment, itemized breakdowns of labor, materials and panel fabrication.
  • Gather and analyze pricing information from vendors, sub-contractors and internal resources to develop compressive cost estimates.
  • Work with Sales Executives to Solicits and maintains communication with mechanical and electrical subcontractors and vendors. Ensures that we have the proper coverage from subcontractors on bid day.
  • Follow-up with contractors to ensure that bids are received.
  • Ensures all bids are priced correctly by subcontractors and vendors i.e. Tax Exempt. Confirm pricing received reflects the correct scope of work.
  • Submits bids and budgets by the bid deadline to mechanical contractors and building owners.
  • Work with Sales Executives to create Technical Proposals for sealed bid packages
  • Ability to collaborate across functions to manage cost and price factors that influence customer acquisition, retention, and revenue.

Qualifications:
  • 2 - 3 years of estimating experience in the Building Management and Temperature Controls.
  • Ability to treat sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality. Possess skills and understanding in conceptual estimating.
  • Above average proficiency in MS Office, Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of estimating software programs.
  • Knowledge of Visio and or AutoCAD a plus.
  • Knowledge of CRM and Bid Tracer a plus.
