Journeyman Plumber (Backflow Certified)

Compensation

· $38–$48 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

· Overtime opportunities available

· Company vehicle / take-home truck

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber with Backflow Certification to join our growing team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality residential and commercial plumbing services, including diagnostics, repairs, installations, maintenance, and backflow testing.

The ideal candidate is a skilled plumbing professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship, providing outstanding customer service, and representing the company with professionalism. This position offers the opportunity for strong earning potential through competitive compensation, overtime, and performance-based incentives.

Key Responsibilities

· Diagnose, repair, and service residential and commercial plumbing systems.

· Perform plumbing installations, repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance.

· Troubleshoot plumbing issues and recommend appropriate solutions to customers.

· Install, test, and maintain backflow prevention devices.

· Perform certified backflow testing and complete required documentation.

· Service and install water heaters, fixtures, piping systems, and related plumbing equipment.

· Complete residential service calls with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

· Support commercial plumbing projects, repairs, and maintenance as needed.

· Communicate clearly with customers regarding diagnoses, options, pricing, and completed work.

· Maintain accurate digital paperwork, service notes, and job documentation.

· Follow all safety procedures, plumbing codes, and company standards.

· Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and professional appearance.

Qualifications

· Active Michigan Journeyman Plumbing License required.

· Current Backflow Certification required.

· Proven experience in residential and commercial plumbing service.

· Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, components, and repair techniques.

· Experience with water heaters, fixtures, piping, and troubleshooting.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

· Comfortable using mobile technology for digital paperwork and service documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in a service-based plumbing environment.

· Commercial plumbing maintenance and repair experience.

· Experience diagnosing complex plumbing issues.

· Strong sales and customer education skills.

· Familiarity with service software and digital dispatch systems.
