Job description

The Role

We have partnered with a blue-collar services company based in Sugar Land area to hire a strategic CFO to partner with the CEO while building the financial infrastructure to scale. You will lead financial planning, budgeting, and debt financing while managing a Controller. Establish processes, report to PE firm and bank, and position the company for exit.


What You'll Do

  • Partner with CEO on strategy, acquisitions, and growth initiatives
  • Lead budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis across all departments
  • Present quarterly financials to the Board and prepare for future sale
  • Ensure GAAP compliance, manage internal controls, and oversee day-to-day accounting
  • Monitor debt covenants, maintain lender relationships, and prepare compliance reports
  • Evaluate acquisitions and lead integration when deals close
  • Drive process improvements and technology implementation


What You Need

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree; 10+ years progressing to CFO level
  • Experience at a service company with revenues in the $50M-$250M range
  • Strategic partner to CEO with cost-conscious mindset
  • Strong Excel and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Master's/CPA, sell-side experience, IT knowledge
  • Experience working for a PE backed company
