As a Seafood Department Manager, you will oversee daily seafood department operations, support sales goals, and ensure high standards for freshness, merchandising, and service. This role offers a fast-paced, hands-on environment where your work directly supports customer satisfaction and department performance.

Main responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the Seafood Department with a focus on customer service, freshness, and department readiness

  • Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service and respond to customer requests and special orders

  • Coordinate training, scheduling, and task assignment for seafood clerks to support department coverage

  • Execute merchandising programs, displays, and pricing according to company guidelines

  • Prepare seafood items including cutting, weighing, wrapping, labeling, and stocking displays

  • Maintain clean, organized work areas, including cases, prep areas, and equipment

  • Monitor product freshness and remove unsellable or expired items

  • Manage ordering, inventory levels, and receiving shipments to maintain in-stock conditions

  • Track and log required temperature checks for coolers and freezers

  • Maintain department signage and communication updates

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and operational standards
