The Butcher Block Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Butcher Block department, ensuring exceptional customer service, product quality, food safety compliance, and operational excellence. This role is responsible for supervising department associates, maintaining merchandising standards, managing inventory, and supporting sales and profitability objectives. The Butcher Block Supervisor leads by example in delivering a superior fresh meat shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities Department Operations
  • Supervise daily Butcher Block operations to ensure efficient execution and exceptional product presentation.
  • Ensure fresh meat and specialty products are properly cut, packaged, labeled, displayed, and rotated.
  • Maintain attractive, fully stocked service cases and merchandising displays.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and replenishment activities.
  • Minimize shrink through proper handling, rotation, and inventory control practices.
  • Ensure department cleanliness and organization in accordance with company standards.
Customer Service
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
  • Assist customers with product selection, preparation recommendations, cooking suggestions, and special orders.
  • Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Promote department sales through product knowledge and suggestive selling techniques.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Supervise, train, coach, and develop Butcher Block associates.
