Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer to provide hands-on financial leadership during a transitional period. This individual will oversee the organization's accounting and finance functions, improve financial reporting processes, ensure compliance, and partner with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned financial leader who enjoys stabilizing operations, improving processes, and leading finance teams through change.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
  • Review and improve financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee payroll approval and accounting operations.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Support ongoing system optimization and financial reporting enhancements.
  • Assist with audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Perform additional financial leadership responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
  • Previous experience as a CFO, Controller, or senior finance executive.
