Biomed Equipment Tech
Location: UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hosp Central, US:CO:Colorado Springs
Department: Clinical Engineering
Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $37.04 - $55.57 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Summary:
Maintains assigned high value, complex, mission critical medical equipment and support systems.
Responsibilities:
Responds to advanced support requests. Interviews customer to determine nature and scope of the customer's issue, and the appropriate response.
Diagnoses, resolves and closes issues involving high value, complex medical equipment according to service level guidelines. Promptly escalates issues to higher level technical support or management when necessary.
Performs routine safety checks, calibrations, and preventative maintenance on high value, mission critical medical equipment and support systems.
Serves as a mentor to team members regarding customer service policies and procedures, trains, supports and develops the capabilities of department biomedical equipment technicians.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent vocational training.
  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician, or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
