Job description

Base pay range $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr About the Role We are seeking a Legal Billing Temp to support the accounting and finance team with day-to-day billing functions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a professional services or law firm environment, with a strong understanding of billing processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Review and process client invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelines. Manage billing adjustments, write-offs, and time entry corrections as needed. Reconcile billing records with client accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly. Communicate with attorneys, paralegals, and clients regarding billing inquiries and outstanding balances. Assist with monthly and quarterly billing cycles, including preparation of reports for management. Support the finance team with ad hoc billing and accounts receivable projects.

Qualifications 2+ years of billing experience in a legal, professional services, or corporate environment. Strong knowledge of billing systems (e.g., Elite, Aderant, or similar) preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills for interacting with attorneys, clients, and internal teams. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
