Children's Happy Teeth & Happy Braces is a growing pediatric dental and orthodontic organization committed to delivering exceptional care and creating positive experiences for every child and family we serve. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Billing Supervisor to lead our billing operations and support our mission.

Position Overview
The Billing Supervisor will oversee the full billing cycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all processes. This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of dental billing (including Medi-Cal & HMO plans), and the ability to collaborate across teams while supporting both staff and patients.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 years billing experience in mid-size DSO
  • Hands-on experience with Medi-Cal Dental billing, PEDO & ORTHO claims (mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge of dental insurance billing, coding, and claims processing
  • Experience managing a team of 4 or more billing staff

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire billing process, including insurance verification, claim submission, follow-ups, and payment posting
  • Ensure compliance with all insurance guidelines, billing regulations, and company policies
  • Monitor accounts receivable and implement strategies to improve collections and reduce aging
  • Train, mentor, and manage billing team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
  • Communicate with patients and families regarding billing inquiries and explain financial responsibilities clearly and professionally
  • Collaborate closely with clinical teams to ensure accurate coding, documentation, and claim submission
  • Review and resolve complex billing issues, denials, and discrepancies
  • Generate and analyze billing reports to support leadership decision-making
