About the Role:
Twin Oaks Group/North State Express is a growing transportation and logistics company seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Transportation Billing Specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and experienced in the trucking and logistics industry.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process customer invoices via QuickBooks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Review and verify Bills of Lading (BOLs), proof of delivery, and supporting shipping documents
  • Audit freight paperwork to ensure billing accuracy
  • Assist with IFTA reporting and maintain fuel tax records
  • Reconcile driver paperwork and shipment documentation
  • Work closely with dispatch, drivers, and customers to resolve billing discrepancies
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper records
  • Provide general administrative support as needed
  • Knowledge of Extensiv a plus
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in transportation, freight, or logistics billing strongly preferred
  • QuickBooks Experience of 1 year
  • Proficiency in billing software, transportation management systems (TMS), or similar platforms, Extensiv
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry and numerical accuracy skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a part-time schedule
  • Solid communication skills for interacting with customers, carriers, and internal staff
  • Experience with accounts receivable or invoice reconciliation is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in accounting or business preferred
