Job description

As a Data Center Project Manager, you will play a central role in one of the most significant infrastructure initiatives in the country: the development of the largest data center project in the United States
In this position, you will guide the full lifecycle of complex data center construction efforts, ensuring disciplined execution through proven PMO processes, rigorous safety practices, cost management, and schedule control. You’ll champion operational excellence, foster crossfunctional alignment, and help define what worldclass delivery looks like for missioncritical infrastructure.

You’ll join an organization known for delivering sophisticated technology and construction solutions with precision, innovation, and accountability. The culture emphasizes ownership, integrity, and a commitment to exceeding expectations on every project.

Contract with possible contract extension or hire (fixed weekly salary broken down hourly for invoicing purposes only): $62 - $65/hr

Direct Hire (must be open to between 15-50% travel throughout the U.S.): Up to 135K/YR

Position Details

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Execution
  • Direct daytoday construction activities using established PMO frameworks and methodologies

  • Build, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules

  • Oversee all phases of project delivery to ensure alignment with scope, budget, and timeline

  • Identify, document, and manage change events using formal change management processes

Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Enforce all safety procedures, site protocols, and regulatory requirements

  • Maintain quality standards through consistent documentation, tracking, and reporting

  • Ensure compliance with construction technology platforms, building codes, and industry best practices

Financial & Contract Management
  • Apply construction accounting principles to support forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting

  • Manage multiple contracting and delivery models (lump sum, costplus, GMP, designbuild, T&M)

  • Track vendor performance, review invoices, and monitor project expenditures

Stakeholder Communication
  • Act as the primary liaison for internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and executive leadership

  • Communicate project updates, risks, milestones, and priorities clearly and confidently

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to both small groups and large audiences

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
  • Anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, and drive timely resolution of issues

  • Use datadriven insights to support decisionmaking and optimize project outcomes

  • Promote a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the site

 
Requirements
  • Strong ability to interpret and leverage data for informed decisionmaking

  • Extensive knowledge of construction safety standards and regulatory requirements

  • Solid understanding of estimating, engineering principles, and construction methodologies

  • Experience with formal change management processes

  • Strong grasp of construction accounting, budgeting, and cost forecasting

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum 5 years of construction industry experience in a leadership or management capacity

  • Prior experience with largescale data center or structured cabling construction projects strongly preferred

  • Experience working across multiple contract and delivery models (GMP, designbuild, fixed price, etc.)

  • Preferred certifications:
