Job description

Bay Cove Human Services' mission is to partner with people to overcome challenges and realize personal potential. Bay Cove pursues this mission by providing individualized and compassionate services to people facing the challenges associated with developmental disabilities, mental illness, substance use disorders, and homelessness at more than 175 program sites throughout Greater Boston and Southeastern Massachusetts.
Job Summary:
The Data Architect / BI Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's Business Intelligence systems and reporting tools.
This position will also assist with the design and implementation of enterprise data & business intelligence infrastructure & architecture, while working collaboratively with leadership, end-users, & subject matter experts to create advanced data, integration, & business intelligence solutions that are accessible, scalable, and secure.
This is an exempt positon.
Essential Functions of the Position:
  • Assists with the design, implementation, & support of the organization's enterprise data infrastructure and architecture
  • Collaborate across the organization to determine & standardize a relevant data collection and aggregation strategy, data warehouse, and transactional data repository approach
  • Develops database solutions for SQL Server, including creating tables, stored procedures, custom user-defined functions, triggers, and indexes
  • Assists with the implementation and use of new BI reporting/dashboard tools.
  • Design & build custom data visualization solutions
  • Develop & implement automated integration processes to support interoperability between internal and external systems
  • Manages the design and delivery of end-user training, best practices and training materials
  • On-going support of existing systems & applications
  • Maintain knowledge of curret research, trends, technology, and best practices related to data management, data warehousing, & business intelligence
  • Ability to analyze user requirements, make recommendations, and implement solutions
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on BI & data management products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
  • Assist with special projects (as necessary)

Requirements for the Position:
  • Experience with BI tools, enterprise data architecture, design and implementation on the Microsoft platform
  • Experience with web services and API based development
  • Quickly learn and adapt to new business and technical concepts.
