Job description

Who we are
With its A.I.-powered robotic technology platform, Symbotic is changing the way consumer goods move through the supply chain. Intelligent software orchestrates advanced robots in a high-density, end-to-end system - reinventing warehouse automation for increased efficiency, speed and flexibility.
What we need
Symbotic is seeking a highly motivated individual for a Senior Advanced Planner role within our Supply Chain organization. This individual will bring a strong analytical mindset and a passion for ensuring material availability for upcoming project installations. We are looking for a professional with proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and creative problem solving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The ability to develop trusting relationships with project teams and manage complex installation planning processes is essential.
What we do
The Production Control team manages project-based planning and material execution for complex, customer-specific automation systems. This group oversees material coordination, supply execution, and logistics alignment to ensure materials and equipment are available when and where needed to support installation and commissioning. Production Control works closely with other Supply Chain teams, including Sourcing, Procurement, and Supplier partners, to align demand, supply, and execution across large-scale customer projects.
What you'll do
  • Own the end-to-end material availability for designated Micro Fulfillment project categories, ensuring all components are ready for upcoming project installs.

  • Balance and maintain optimal inventory levels by managing safety stock and min/max parameters to ensure material readiness for site installations

  • Monitor material delivery schedules against project timelines, proactively identifying and communicating risks to project teams regarding potential shortages that could impact installation dates.

  • Partner with our Supplier Performance teams to proactively resolve material gap issues; ensuring installation schedules are met and project escalations are targeted and minimal

  • Support deep-dive analysis on inventory performance and recommend strategic adjustments to planning parameters like safety stock and reorder points to support fluctuating project demands

  • Serve as the primary supply chain contact for Project Management and Operations teams regarding material lead times and availability status.

  • Work with Logistics and Warehouse teams to ensure efficient inbound material scheduling and accurate inventory transactions to support project planning accuracy.

  • Ensure that relevant engineering changes flow through appropriately to the material staged for specific project installs to ensure seamless delivery.

What you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years in Production Planning, Supply Chain, and Inventory Management.

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with ERP systems; SAP experience strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven success in engaging and influencing executive-level stakeholders. This role will be customer-facing and requires demonstrated skill in interacting with customers/executive-level stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment toward shared objectives.

  • Highly organized, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data visualization tools.

  • Certification in supply chain or production management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.

  • Experience in a manufacturing or technology-driven industry.

Our Environment
  • Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
