Food and Beverage Manager

Akron, OH

Riley Hotel Group is looking for a full-time Food and Beverage Manager to join their team in Akron, Ohio!

The right candidate will have:

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)

• At least two years of hospitality experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents

• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community

• Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisors, clients, staff, vendors, etc.

• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

• Proficiency in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires an average knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Ability to monitor/assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action

• Identifies customer needs and explains services clearly

• Patience and understanding while handling difficult situations

• Ability to work within approved budget

Our Food and Beverage Manager will:

• Supervise all departmental personnel demonstrating high leadership skills, model behaviors, and exemplary actions

• Complete department schedules

• Plan, assign, and direct various department tasks and projects as needed

• Maintain knowledge of all company and brand standards

• Execute proper product management which includes inventorying, ordering, purchasing, securing, and issuing all beverage and bar products and supplies

• Participate in menu development and pricing structure

• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of bar areas

• Ensure proper payment handling procedures are consistently maintained

• Program, troubleshoot, and use the POS system

• Maintain and abide by state and OSHA safety, sanitation, and health regulations as well as company and brand requirements
