Job description

Job Title: Benefits Coordinator

Location: North Houston, TX

Benefits: Medical

Type: Contract

Pay: $35 - $38 / Hour

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).


Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and support employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k) plans.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and benefit-related questions.
  • Coordinate and track leave administration processes including FMLA, ADA, short-term disability, long-term disability, and other company leave programs.
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims, communicate with carriers, and assist with return-to-work coordination.
  • Maintain accurate employee benefit records within HRIS and benefits platforms.
  • Support annual open enrollment activities including employee communication, system updates, and vendor coordination.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees, benefit vendors, payroll, and HR leadership to resolve benefit issues.
  • Assist with benefits reconciliations, invoicing, and payroll deductions related to benefit plans.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Prepare benefit-related reports and assist with audits as needed.
  • Support HR team with additional projects and employee programs as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration or HR benefits support.
  • Experience administering leave programs and workers’ compensation claims required.
  • Knowledge of employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans.
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance regulations related to benefits and leave administration.
  • Experience working in energy, manufacturing, industrial, or oil & gas environments strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
