Job Description

Position Description Summary/Purpose:

The primary function of this position is to maintain the front desk and is responsible for greeting and assisting visitors, prospective students, staff and faculty entering the admissions suite. This position will be performing administrative, clerical and student assistance for the Enrollment Department.

Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist prospective students, visitors, staff and faculty entering the admissions suite.
  • Assists students; both via phone and in person.
  • Tracks and maintains various departments records and reports
  • Performs general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, uploading documents, faxing and mailing.
  • Opens, sorts and distributes incoming correspondence.
  • Maintains office supply inventories and coordinates maintenance of office equipment.
  • Manages teamwork assignments.
  • Responsible for taking meeting minutes when needed.
  • Assists and supports the enrollment department needs.
  • Collaborate and assist the enrollment coordinator and enrollment specialist with special projects, assignments and other things as needed.
  • Must have flexibility to work some weekends.
  • Conducts all work in a safe manner and all work safety practices are followed.

Other Functions:

  • Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation permits.
  • Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends.
  • Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum associate degree required
  • Customer service experience 1+ years
  • Working in a diverse environment is a plus!
