JOB SUMMARY: The Lead Designer serves as Benecon's graphic and visual design expert and is responsible for developing compelling visual communications that advance Benecon's strategic marketing initiatives, with a primary focus on VERIS and enterprise-level brand initiatives.

This position transforms business objectives, marketing strategies, and creative concepts into engaging visual communications across digital, print, presentations, campaigns, and sales enablement materials. The Lead Designer applies advanced graphic and visual design expertise to create innovative design solutions that elevate the Benecon brand while ensuring consistency across products and marketing initiatives.

The role collaborates with marketing leadership, cross-functional teams, and vendors to deliver creative work that supports business growth and market differentiation. The Lead Designer reports directly to the Creative Director and serves as a key creative partner in bringing Benecon's strategic vision to life through exceptional visual design.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: May provide guidance, direction, and creative oversight to design specialists, vendors, and freelance partners. Does not have direct managerial responsibility.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the visual design execution of VERIS marketing initiatives across digital, print, presentations, campaigns, events, and sales materials.
  • Creates compelling graphic and visual design that elevates the Benecon brand across marketing initiatives.
  • Designs and develops campaign materials, presentations, digital experiences, and supporting visual assets that communicate complex healthcare and benefits solutions with clarity and impact.
  • Translates business objectives, marketing strategies, and creative concepts into engaging visual communications that resonate with target audiences.
  • Develops cohesive visual systems and design assets that maintain consistency across products, campaigns, and marketing channels.
  • Reviews and refines design work to maintain high standards of typography, layout, composition, accessibility, and visual storytelling.
  • Guides production across multiple media formats, including print, digital, email, presentations, video support, and collateral.
  • Presents design concepts and creative rationale to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ensures accuracy and integrity of messaging, data, and statistics within creative deliverables.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve creative processes, templates, and visual efficiencies across the organization.

Requirements:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to sit or stand and type utilizing computer for up to 90% of the workday.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, stand, and carry items weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to travel on occasion.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional graphic design or creative experience, preferably in an agency or corporate marketing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading creative initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop required).
  • Experience in healthcare, financial services, B2B, or solution-based industries preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong conceptual thinking and ability to translate complex information into clear, visually engaging materials required.
  • Advanced typography, layout, and brand system expertise required.
  • Ability to confidently present creative rationale to stakeholders required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality control required.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a deadline-driven environment required.
