Job description

Beachside Behavioral Health is URGENTLY seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for our Santa Ana detox residential facility (multiple shifts available). The ideal candidate has working knowledge of addiction recovery (we are willing to train if not) and a clean driving record. The Behavioral Health Technician will help facilitate clients through their day/evening programming schedules in a detox/residential substance abuse setting.

    Position Overview: We are urgently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at our Tustin/Santa Ana facility. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of addiction recovery, though we are willing to provide training. A clean driving record and a willingness to handle a variety of tasks related to client care are essential.

    Requirements:

    • Current RADT certification, SUDCRC I, or CATC Intern
    • Valid Driver's License with at least 4 years of driving experience and no more than 2 violations in the last 3 years.
    • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
    • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct rounds and document observations per state protocols.
    • Complete new admission processes including UA testing, belongings searches, and paperwork.
    • Record daily progress and maintain accurate client charts.
    • Perform room searches as required, administer detox protocols including CIWA and COWS forms, and collect urine samples.
    • Ensure the cleanliness of the facility and assist in general upkeep.
    • Drive clients to appointments, meetings, and activities using company vehicles.
    • Provide support and intervention during crises.
    • Assist clients with household chores, cleanliness, and food preparation.
