Job description

Our Client is seeking a Business Development Manager to support growth within the Florida market. Internally titled “BDM,” this role functions as an entry-level Key Account Manager, combining construction documentation management, internal coordination, and early-stage customer engagement. This is an ideal role for a construction professional who wants to grow into a senior account or regional sales leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process RFIs, annotate drawings, route through estimating, and coordinate responses.
  • Prepare and manage submittals and change-order documentation.
  • Maintain alignment between sales, estimating, preconstruction, and operations.
  • Keep Salesforce updated with accurate job data, forecasting, and pipeline details.
  • Support Key Account Managers with proposals, customer follow-up, and project tracking.
  • Perform outbound outreach and follow-up communication, including cold calling.
  • Attend customer meetings and occasional jobsite visits as needed.
  • Assist with planning and executing Lunch & Learns and BD events.

Candidate Profile

Required Experience

  • 1–4 years in construction BD, coordination, estimating support, or inside sales.
  • Exposure to RFIs, submittals, COs, or related construction workflows.
  • Multifamily construction experience preferred.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred).
