Job description

Day Shift Schedule: Monday thru Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm with Friday Overtime as needed Performs the following types of duties: set up scales and other issuing equipment; issues product to batch records and monitors quality of production runs by the use of scales, observation of product, and comparison with former runs; operates mixing and comil equipment; operates bin wash equipment; recommends changes to operation procedures on a run-by-run basis as conditions change; cleans equipment and room thoroughly; maintains records of production runs; communicates relevant information to coworkers; performs other related duties as assigned.RESPONSIBILITIESProduces and inspects the quality of products for internal and external customers Issues product to work orders in the material prep area and verifies raw material information to work order Inspects, sets up, and cleans equipment Cleans production roomsCompletes necessary documentation and paperwork, reconciles and double-checks all work recordsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSFour years of high school plus specific course requirementsKnowledge of weights and measurements, i.e. metric systemSkill in operating process equipmentBasic math skillsGeneral computer skills and experience helpfulAbility to follow written instructionsAble to consistently follow correct issuing proceduresAble to keep accurate issuing records on work ordersAble to maneuver heavy weightsAble to prioritize multiple assignmentsMust have good hand-eye coordinationAble to communicate well with coworkers on all shifts and to work effectively in a team environmentNature's Sunshine is dedicated to being a Force of Nature that champions social and environmental wellness.
