Job description

The primary responsibility of the food server is to provide prompt, courteous service to all restaurant patrons.  The Food Server is responsible for ensuring the guests are satisfied with their dining experience by engaging the guests in a professional and genuine manner, inputting orders accurately into the POS terminal and creating beverages accurately and timely.  The Food Server is responsible for maintaining a genuine, cheerful demeanor while representing the Gordon Ramsay brand positively at all times.
 

Bugsy Siegel's desert dream, the Flamingo, has anchored the Las Vegas Strip since they started rolling dice in 1946.  More than sixty years later, we're still looking for fresh faces to help us surprise our guests with unexpected fun and excitement.  This inclusive resort provides you the perfect opportunity to entertain our guests as they stay in over 3,500 rooms and suites and play in our 77,000 square foot casino, and 15 acre backyard tropical retreat.  The confident and vivacious will find the Flamingo as the place to be.
  • Must possess a valid SNHD health card.
  • Common knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices preferred.
  • Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.

  • Work requires professional interactions with customers, co-workers and management.

  • Arrive at work on time, fully dressed, clean, and prepared with all of the proper work cards, credentials and uniform.
  • Prepare the restaurant for daily service and alerting management of any maintenance issues or missing product.
  • Passionately inform guests about Gordon Ramsay, his history, and current business endeavors
  • Perform all opening, closing and side duties required of a food server position.
  • Greet guests using the 10'/5' rule and engaging guests in cheerful, genuine conversation.
  • Deliver the proper steps of service in the correct sequence
  • Accurately input all orders into the POS terminal. 
  • Accurately post all transactions on the POS terminal giving correct change; accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities. 
  • Prepare all food and drink to order in accordance with established recipes and time guidelines and guest specifications. 
  • Understand and execute artisanal coffee beverage program.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant before, during, and after the shift.
  • Maintain appropriate level of stock items in area alerting the manager of any missing or limited product, including but not limited to, food, supply, and retail.
  • Keep designated working area clean and organized 
  • Engage with guests professionally and genuinely by maintaining a cheerful conversation and delivering the service that is required of them.
  • Depart the restaurant on time and having completed all the designated functions for the day.
