Job description

Pinewood Country Club located in Munds Park, AZ, south of Flagstaff, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Assistant Restaurant Manager! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with the Restaurant and Bar Manager to plan and coordinate daily restaurant, bar, and banquet operations
  • Assists with supervising staff to ensure efficient, effective, and memorable service
  • Ensures that all dining areas and bars are properly set up and maintained to meet quality and cleanliness standards and are well stocked and organized; checks equipment and informs the General Manager of any maintenance or repair needs
  • Organizes and conducts pre-shift meetings to review specials, menu changes, house counts, etc.
  • Circulates throughout the restaurant and kitchen areas to monitor operations and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met
  • Greets members and guests at tables to ensure complete satisfaction and attentiveness to guest needs
  • Monitors member and guest feedback and addresses concerns or issues promptly and professionally
  • Ensures member and guest preferences and special requests are accommodated whenever possible
  • Oversees daily restaurant activities, including serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, and performing general clerical and cashier duties; ensures end-of-day reports are accurate
  • Collaborates with the culinary team to share feedback and suggestions from members and guests regarding menu items
  • Maintains knowledge of food and beverage offerings and suggests appropriate pairings to members and guests
  • Assists the Restaurant and Bar Manager with inventory as needed
  • Assists in the planning and execution of special events, including banquets and private parties
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure smooth event operations
  • Assists in recruiting, training, and supervising restaurant and bar staff
  • Assures that effective orientation and training are provided to each new associate
  • Ensures staff adherence to service standards and company policies and procedures
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance

Minimum Requirements:
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service, with supervisory or management experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Other Qualifications:
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Alcohol awareness training, food safety, and sanitation training
