Job description

Description
The IT Manager at Sonata Bank plans, implements, and maintains the bank's technology systems to ensure operational efficiency, security compliance, and excellent service delivery for a hybrid/remote workforce. A key aspect of this role is identifying, contracting, and nurturing a future Managed Services Provider (MSP), building out an internal support function as necessary, and acting as the primary liaison for audit and regulatory requirements. The IT Manager also works closely with executive leadership to align technology strategies with overall bank objectives.
1. Manage and maintain the bank's IT infrastructure (networks, servers, workstations, telecommunications), ensuring high availability and security.
2. Evaluate, select, and nurture the MSP relationship, establishing service-level agreements and overseeing vendor performance.
3. Oversee Microsoft 365, Azure/AVD, and virtual desktop environments, ensuring reliable remote access and optimal system performance.
4. Recruit, hire, and supervise support staff as needed, ensuring timely and effective technical assistance to all bank employees.
5. Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to meet regulatory standards (GLBA, FFIEC) and bolster cybersecurity.
6. Implement and manage endpoint protection, patch management, and network security (including firewalls and Wi-Fi segmentation).
7. Coordinate cybersecurity initiatives, including threat monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and security awareness training.
8. Design and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) plans, ensuring robust backup and recovery processes.
9. Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and contracts, collaborating with executive leadership on strategic planning and cost control.
10. Conduct or support regular security and compliance audits, implementing remediation measures and reporting on IT operations, security posture, and strategic initiatives.
