Job description

Do you enjoy solving problems, supporting customers, and ensuring critical financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently? The National Bank of Indianapolis is seeking an ACH Specialist to support our Electronic Banking team.

In this role, you'll support ACH operations while delivering outstanding service and technical support to both customers and internal partners.

How You'll Contribute

  • Provide outstanding customer service and technical support via phone and email
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, requests, and issues
  • Troubleshoot electronic banking and technology-related concerns
  • Explain products, services, and technical information in clear, user-friendly terms
  • Process ACH returns, stop payments, disputes, change notifications, and unposted items
  • Release same-day ACH debit and credit files to the Federal Reserve
  • Load, process, balance, and maintain ACH and related electronic payment files
  • Review OFAC suspects, track international ACH items, and balance FedNow and RTP transactions
  • Review system reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Partner with internal departments to resolve issues and improve service
  • Support reporting activities and serve as backup for other Electronic Banking functions

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred
  • Banking operations experience and knowledge of electronic banking products and services preferred
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a variety of users
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems; working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking technologies
