Blood Bank Manager 

Location: Chicago, Illinois 60601
Job Type: Permanent, Direct Hire
Relocation Assistance: Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates relocating to the Chicago area.

We are seeking an experienced Blood Bank Manager to lead blood bank operations for a respected healthcare organization in downtown Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced laboratory professional with a strong background in blood banking and progressive leadership experience.

Position Overview:

  • Permanent, direct-hire opportunity
  • Located in downtown Chicago (60601)
  • Relocation assistance available
  • Leadership role with responsibility for blood bank operations and staff
  • Opportunity to join an established healthcare organization

Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) certification required
  • SBB preferred, but not required
  • Progressive leadership/management experience within a blood bank
  • Strong knowledge of blood banking and immunohematology
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and support laboratory staff
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation in blood banking along with progressively increasing leadership responsibilities and the ability to effectively manage day-to-day operations, staff, quality, and regulatory requirements.
