Job description

We are seeking a skilled, Machine operator to run our new edge bander during the night shift. This position is responsible for machine setup, monitoring, quality assurance, basic troubleshooting, and maintaining steady production output. The operator must adhere to established SOPs, complete required checks, and promptly report any quality or mechanical issues.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 5:00pm-3:00am

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the new edge bander independently throughout the night shift
  • Perform daily machine inspections (copy wheels, glue pot, pressure settings, etc.)
  • Ensure consistent product quality and immediately report any defects
  • Follow all safety procedures and proper material-handling guidelines
  • Complete required documentation and production reports
  • Communicate any issues promptly to the supervisor and maintenance team

Requirements:

  • English-speaking (Spanish is a plus but not required)
  • Previous machinery or equipment operation experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to understand mechanical processes and perform basic troubleshooting
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability for production quality
  • Ability to follow written SOPs and maintain accurate documentation
