Roof Truss Bander
Reports to: Truss Area Coordinator
Job Status: Full-Time / Hourly
Department: Truss
Mobility Profile: On Location
Position Summary: The Roof Truss Bander's primary responsibility is to band bundles of roof trusses for Clayton Home Building Facilities.
Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Bander must be able to correctly place band boards and bands to ensure trusses are tightly banded.
  • Safely operate bander machine.
  • Cut band boards to size.
  • Band trusses together in timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to read a tape measurer.
  • Must have a passion for quality and be naturally attentive to details.
  • Must be reliable and able to work at an efficient pace.
  • Demonstrates honesty and integrity. Has a strong work ethic. Displays a great attitude and models teamwork.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry over 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to effectively verbally communicate and exchange information with others.
  • Work is primarily completed by standing or walking, and may require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching in hot and cold conditions.
