ESTES PARK SCHOOL DISTRICT R-3
MARCHING BAND ASSISTANT
The EPHS Marching Band seeks a part-time Assistant Marching Band Director to support a competitive 1A high school marching band program. This position includes assisting with rehearsals during the fall season, including summer band camp, and planning for rehearsals and the development of the marching show, with a focus on visual marching instruction. Preferred dates include:


  • May Mini-Camp May 2930
  • Summer Band Camp July 2731
  • Weekly Saturday rehearsals from 8:00 AM12:00 PM beginning August 8 through the end of October.ย 

The assistant will work collaboratively with the head director to develop student performance in areas such as marching techniques, music, and overall ensemble cohesion. While previous assistants have focused on visual instruction, specific responsibilities will be tailored to align with the strengths and expertise of the selected candidate. Preference will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience and/or extensive experience in marching ensembles. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic educators with strong communication skills and a passion for supporting student growth in a positive, team-oriented environment. Some schedule flexibility is available, along with opportunities to make up missed hours or take on additional hours as needed.ย
