About Us:
Are you ready to be part of the team that makes every game an unforgettable experience? The Miami Marlins are on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals to join the Ballpark Operations Team. If you're passionate about sports, thrive on positivity, and are eager to dive into the action, this is your chance to shine!
Position Overview:The position of Ballpark Operations Staff, under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Ballpark Operations, shall be responsible for assisting with all gameday and special event setup and breakdown performed at loanDepot Park including but not limited to:
Essential Functions:
Gameday:

  • Setup for all exterior and interior gameday activations including signage, giveaways, private events, promotions, gates, and more
  • Respond to requests during the game such as equipment needs, guest inquiries, etc.
  • Assist with on field pre/post-game events including setting barriers, rolling up netting, and removing field gates
  • Assist with ballpark crowd control and queueing

Special Events:
  • Provide all equipment required for the event including tables, chairs, staging, queueing, and additional needs
  • Assist in stage setups, flooring installs, and setup of necessary back of house spaces
  • Participate in load-in and load-out with scheduled vendors in association with specific event needs
  • Opportunity to participate in walkthroughs and vendor meetings to help plan events

Events range from small-scale meetings to large-scale concerts and conventions. Some previous events hosted at loanDepot park include:
  • Monster Jam
  • Drone Racing League Algorand World Championship
  • 2026 NHL Winter Classic
  • 2013, 2017, 2023, 2026 World Baseball Classic
  • College Commencements (Miami Dade College, Barry University)

Inventory:
  • Keep equipment storage areas clean and organized
  • Maintain a full inventory of equipment in spaces throughout the ballpark
  • Assist with deliveries/pickups for event shipments and rentals

Qualifications & Requirements:
โ€ข Punctual and reliable attendance
โ€ข Meticulous attention to detail in setup and arrangement of event spaces
โ€ข High level of responsibility in execution of event-related tasks
โ€ข Foster synergy through effective teamwork
โ€ข Ability to manage and prioritize tasks
โ€ข Safely handle objects up to 50 lbs.
โ€ข Adapt to changing instructions and requirements
โ€ข Embrace a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, aligned with the event schedule
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
โ€ข A minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
โ€ข Post high school education, such as an Associate of Arts (AA) degree, is a plus
โ€ข Background in sports operations or event production is a plus
