Job description

Reports to: Field Operations Manager         

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Status: Seasonal, part-time; Non-exempt

Effective dates: March 27 - September 19, 2026


Position Summary

The Indianapolis Indians seek candidates to provide a high level of support to the Victory Field field operations staff during Indianapolis Indians home games and other events. It is our goal to make our guests' experiences at Victory Field as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. To achieve this, our employees need to be professional, courteous, pleasant, reliable, dependable and well groomed. Our employees should be willing to go above and beyond to help make our guests feel welcome and always have a smile on their face.

Major Responsibilities
  • Pre-game: cleaning shop and equipment, tearing down batting practice, chalking foul lines, assisting with watering the infield, and any additional game setup
  • Mid-game: dragging the infield, changing bases, pulling field tarp on and off during inclement weather
  • Post-game: cleaning dugouts, picking up chalk lines, assisting with clay work, setting out batting practice equipment, tarping mounds and plates


Other Duties
  • Assist with Indians promotions including, but not limited to, Friday Fireworks and Knot Hole Kids Club Fun Run.

  • Coachable and willing to learn new techniques, skills, and practices.

  • Ability to multitask in a stressful and ever-changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for 4+ hours
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
Compensation

$10.00 hourly; estimated 4-6 hours per shift
