Job description

Washington Trust is seeking a Treasury Analyst to support the Bank’s Treasury function across a broad range of disciplines, including liquidity and funding management, interest rate risk management, investment portfolio management, investment accounting, and balance sheet analytics.

We offer a flexible hybrid work arrangement with on-site work in Westerly, RI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support investment portfolio tracking, reporting, and analysis, while coordinating with Accounting and Operations teams.
  • Assist with collateral management, mortgage purchases, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor daily liquidity positions, funding activities, and cash management processes.
  • Provide backup support for Treasury operational functions, including wire processing, reporting controls, and other critical activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) materials, recurring Treasury reports, and balance sheet analytics.
  • Support interest rate risk analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts.
  • Contribute to loan and deposit pricing analysis, net interest margin planning, and profitability assessments.
  • Perform forecasting, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify opportunities for process efficiencies and enhanced reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in bank treasury management, financial services, forecasting, financial reporting, or a similar banking-related role preferred.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with balance sheet management, liquidity analysis, or asset-liability management.
  • Familiarity with interest rate risk modeling, Treasury reporting, and financial forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to support process improvements and systems-related initiatives.

Compensation: A goodfaith, reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $60,000 t0 $75,000 per year and the actual offer will depend on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, and education.

 

This base salary reflects one component of our competitive compensation package. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
