In this role, you will lead story definition, backlog prioritization, and work planning for an Agile development team, ensuring user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with program objectives. You will partner closely with Product Managers, Scrum Masters, software engineers, and systems engineers to maintain a healthy backlog that enables continuous delivery of mission-critical capabilities. This position is contingent upon contract award. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO. What You Will Do * Own and maintain the team-level product backlog, ensuring user stories are prioritized, refined, and ready for execution.
* Decompose capabilities and features into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria that support mission and customer objectives.
* Validate completed work against acceptance criteria and approve story completion.
* Partner with the Scrum Master, Product Manager, and engineering teams to prepare upcoming sprints while maintaining long-term backlog health.
* Coordinate cross-team dependencies with other Product Owners to ensure alignment across Agile Release Train (ART) teams.
* Support capability elaboration, sprint planning, Program Increment (PI) Planning, sprint reviews, and technical program milestones.
* Incorporate systems engineering, integration, cybersecurity, and platform requirements into team-level backlog priorities.
* Communicate backlog priorities, team progress, risks, and dependencies to Product Management, Release Train Engineering (RTE), and program leadership.
Qualifications You Must Have * Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
* Experience serving as a Product Owner, Backlog Manager, Business Analyst, Systems Engineer, or similar Agile role supporting software development.
* Experience decomposing capabilities and features into user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria and maintaining Agile product backlogs.
* Experience working in Agile development environments, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Program Increment (PI) Planning.
* Active and transferable U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
