Our platform supports property managers, applicants, and internal teams through scalable software systems, workflow automation, and enterprise-level integrations.

Who weโ€™re looking for:

We are seeking a Backend Developer to support the development and maintenance of backend systems that power the OurPetPolicy platform. This role involves building APIs, maintaining integrations, improving system performance, and collaborating with engineering and product teams on new features and platform improvements.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple backend services, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to a collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

? Build and maintain backend systems and services using Java and Python.
? Develop and maintain REST APIs, integrations, and internal services.
? Support PostgreSQL database development and performance optimization.
? Integrate third-party APIs and external platforms.
? Collaborate with developers, product teams, and operations staff on technical initiatives.
? Troubleshoot production issues and support system reliability and scalability.
? Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards and workflows.
? Help improve internal tools, workflows, and engineering processes.
? Accurately document technical processes and development work.
