Job description

ZimZee Recruiting is looking for an Account Manager to drive business development and supporting continued growth across aviation OEM, commercial, and defense markets. The Account Manager will develop customer relationships, identify new product and market opportunities, lead proposals and contract negotiations, and serve as a key point of contact for customers and program partners. The ideal candidate brings direct aviation sales experience, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to understand and communicate technical solutions related to aircraft electrical power and avionics systems.


Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct aviation sales experience; exposure to aviation electrical and avionics systems is preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships and deliver a high level of customer service.
  • Strong negotiation and project/program management skills, including experience supporting complex customer opportunities and agreements.
  • Excellent presentation, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, prioritization, and organizational skills with close attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to support customer needs and industry events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred; a Private Pilot License, Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license, or similar aviation certification is also a plus.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for program partners, coordinating customer needs and supporting training and deployment initiatives.
  • Develop strong technical knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology, power conversion solutions, and avionics systems to effectively communicate solutions that address customer power requirements.
  • Represent the organization at industry trade shows and customer meetings as required.
