POSITION SUMMARY:

The Command Center Aviation Intern will support the development of structured training documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for multiple aviation-related roles. This role focuses on translating operational processes into clear,accurate, and compliant documentation.

This internship is ideal for students with aviation backgrounds who are interested in operations, documentation, safety systems, or aviation management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Training & Documentation Development

  • Create structured training documents for three separate aviation roles

  • Develop clear, concise quick reference guides

  • Draft and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Ensure documentation aligns with company policies and operational standards

Regulatory & Operational Alignment

  • Interpret FAA guidance and integrate regulatory requirements into documentation

  • Ensure terminology and procedures reflect aviation safety culture

  • Validate that processes are clearly structured and logically organized

Process Organization & Improvement

  • Review existing procedures andidentifyareas for clarity and consistency

  • Structure complex operational workflows into user-friendly formats

  • Revise documentation based on stakeholder feedback

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Aviation Operations and Command Center teams

  • Gather input from subject matter experts

  • Present drafts and incorporate feedback efficiently

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have direct reports.

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES

  • General office environment where there is a significant amount of time at a desk, working on computers and reviewing documents.This requires the ability to sit for extended periods.They also may need to stand for meetings or when moving around the office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • College Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student

  • Background in aviation management, maintenance, dispatch, flight training, or related field

  • Basic aviation knowledge or experience (aviation management, maintenance, dispatch, flight training, or similar background)

  • Strong ability to create clear, well-organized training documents, manuals, or SOPs

  • Strong written communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Familiarity with aviation terminology and procedures

  • Ability to follow and interpret FAA guidance and company policies

  • Organized, methodical thinker who can structure information logically

  • Proficient with documentation tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF tools)

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and revise documents

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience writing training materials, checklists, or instructional content.
