Job description

US Farathane is growing and we’re looking for talented Product Engineers who are passionate about developing innovative plastic solutions from concept through launch, for OEM and tier customer programs. These positions sit onsite at our offices in Auburn Hills, MI or Sterling Heights, MI.
What You’ll Do
As a Product Engineer, you’ll be hands-on in developing innovative products for automotive programs, playing a critical part in turning concepts into fully launched solutions. From design feasibility through production launch, you’ll own key engineering deliverables while working closely with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure programs are executed successfully, on time, and at the highest level of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and communicate day-to-day new product development activities.
  • Support design activities for new products, including part and process feasibility.
  • Coordinate and manage testing requirements for new products.
  • Maintain, manage, and track Engineering Development amp; Testing (ED amp;T) budgets for assigned programs.
  • Support and maintain APQP databases (Phase 0 amp; 1) for assigned programs.
  • Create and manage key documentation including DFMEA, DVP amp;R, and open issues tracking.
  • Participate in customer meetings and technical reviews.
  • Support tool trials and pre‑production build activities.
  • Support launch activities at US Farathane manufacturing facilities and customer sites, including SOP and post‑90‑day launch support.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams.
What You Bring
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 4–6 years of automotive engineering experience working directly with OEMs.
  • Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes.
  • Experience with APQP, DFMEA, DVP amp;R, and product launch execution.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.
