Position Summary

The Product Engineer supports the development and industrialization of automotive interior components. This role collaborates closely with customers, production plants, engineering teams, and suppliers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support product development and industrialization from concept through series production
  • Assist in managing and documenting engineering projects (cost, timing, quality)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, sales, and suppliers
  • Support design and development of plastic automotive components and modules
  • Participate in project coordination and status reporting
  • Assist in prototype procurement and validation activities
  • Evaluate simulation, testing, and measurement results; track improvement actions
  • Support change management processes with production plants
  • Contribute to RFQ preparation and technical documentation
  • Participate in Product and Process FMEAs and tolerance analyses
  • Assist in developing technical specifications and engineering solutions

Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in automotive product development preferred
  • Knowledge of plastics processing and component design
  • Familiarity with engineering tools and methodologies (FMEA, PPAP, etc.)
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes (joining, fastening, finishing)
  • Experience with MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Knowledge of quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel (domestic and international)
