Job Summary

The Automotive Product Specialist is responsible for guiding customers through their buying journey by providing expert advice, product demonstrations, and a seamless dealership experience. You will be the go-to person for questions about products and services offered by the dealership with the purpose of making customers feel welcome and supported throughout their car purchasing process.

Responsibilities

  • Offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the car dealership
  • Approach and greet customers with a positive attitude while building rapport to determine the needs of the customer by listening and asking questions
  • Explain product performance, features & functions, and benefits to prospective customers
  • Assist customers in making a purchase decision by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses and needs
  • Perform high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of new/used vehicles
  • Work directly with our employees and customers to develop relationships and help to enhance the sales process
  • Maintain ongoing professional growth and development by keeping abreast of product knowledge
  • Report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses

Qualifications

  • Enthusiasm and high energy throughout the sales workday
  • Strong knowledge of automotive industry and products/services offered by dealerships
  • Friendly, competitive personality, especially when handling objections & negotiating pricing
  • Strong customer service, communication skills, computer and basic math skills
  • Interest in training sales associates and working in a team environment
  • Prior automotive product/sales experience is preferred
