Job description

The Parts Specialist is extremely knowledgeable about automotive parts and accessories and can accurately answer questions and satisfy customer requirements in person or on the phone. He/she locates automotive parts within the current inventory or from other sources (such as the internet, vendors, other dealerships, etc.) and arranges for delivery and installation.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and previous experience with automotive parts and accessories. Candidates must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong customer service and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensures safe and on-time delivery of parts to the dealership using company vehicles and following all company procedures and standards
  • Retail & Wholesale Parts Counter
  • Shipping and Receiving of Parts
  • Stock Parts
  • Assist with pulling customer order(s) when requested
  • Verify that payment has been received and that the invoice matches the order for each delivery
  • Load truck with auto parts to be delivered and unload merchandise
  • Assist with customer service activities within retail parts location
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Previous driver, parts, or automotive experience preferred
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
  • Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles

  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
  • Lifting of heavy items of up to 75 pounds
  • Exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt and dust
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
