Parts Director Large Automotive Group | Mid-South About Our Operation

  • 11 rooftops
  • 40 parts sales professionals
  • Dedicated wholesale operation (separate facility serving dealerships, body shops, and automotive repair shops.)
  • $6,000,000 parts inventory
  • Wholesale sales exceeding $2,000,000 per month
  • Total parts sales exceeding $5,000,000 per month
Position Overview

The Parts Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across all locations. This individual will be responsible for maximizing sales performance, inventory efficiency, and departmental profitability while maintaining strong manufacturer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage a $6 million parts inventory
  • Lead and develop 40 parts team members across 11 locations
  • Maintain obsolescence below 9%
  • Maintain a 1.5-month supply of inventory
  • Achieve 8 inventory turns annually
  • Drive wholesale growth and market penetration
  • Increase internal parts sales through collaboration with Service Managers, Desk Managers, and Used Car Managers
  • Expand accessory sales opportunities
  • Improve reconditioning parts capture on used vehicles
  • Implement performance metrics and accountability across all rooftops
Qualifications
  • Proven multi-location automotive dealership parts management experience required
  • Strong wholesale background required
