Position Overview:

The Internet Director is responsible for overseeing all internet sales operations, lead management, and digital customer engagement strategies. This role manages a team of internet sales professionals and works closely with the sales, finance, and marketing departments to optimize online lead conversion, improve customer experiences, and maximize dealership profitability.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the internet sales department and online business development processes
  • Develop and implement effective lead management, follow-up, and conversion strategies
  • Track, analyze, and report on internet sales performance metrics, lead response times, and closing ratios
  • Work with the marketing team to optimize online advertising, website content, and digital marketing strategies
  • Ensure timely and professional responses to all online leads and inquiries
  • Train, coach, and motivate the internet sales team to achieve individual and department sales goals
  • Manage third-party lead providers and CRM/BDC software platforms
  • Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from online inquiry to vehicle delivery
  • Maintain high standards for customer satisfaction, communication, and transparency
  • Stay current on digital retail trends, technology, and lead generation tools
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3โ€“5 years of automotive internet sales management or BDC management experience
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding internet sales department goals
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of CRM systems, digital marketing strategies, and online lead management best practices
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
