We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. This role combines technical knowledge with exceptional customer service skills to facilitate effective communication between customers and our service technicians, ultimately driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Duties

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their vehicle service needs 
  • Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, providing accurate estimates using auto estimating tools 
  • Write detailed service orders and communicate technician recommendations effectively 
  • Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs when appropriate 
  • Manage vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups efficiently while maintaining excellent customer relations 
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely 
  • Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work 
  • Maintain detailed records of services performed and customer interactions in the dealership management system 
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns 
Experience

  • Dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred 
  • Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance procedures 
  • Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing is advantageous 
  • Experience in automotive repair including transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, brake repair, and air brake systems 
  • Service technician experience or automotive sales background is a plus 
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell services effectively 
  • Knowledge of automotive diagnostics tools and mechanical systems such as transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and engine components 
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment
